History
Asa has been a part of Arden for as long as anyone can remember, living in the deep woods much of the time, but not without her forays into other places and lands when need or opportunity came along. And, much as gods are wont to do, she has collected a cult.
As Goddess
In spite of the great range in interpretations of her ethos, Asa is not known to speak out very often when it comes to conflicting views between the sects of her worship. The lengths one must go to to gain her blessing and recognition ranges from saving a single foal from an unscrupulous hunter, to monumental undertakings years in the making. She's oft believed to be a capricious goddess.
As Mother
Goddess she may be, but Asa is also a woman, and a fount of creation. As such it may be little wonder that she has bore children into the world, though accounts of these births may vary. She is said to be a kind and nurturing mother, but also casts her children out when they come of age until they achieve some nebulous goal to her liking.
